Reflections From The Front PorchI Think It’s Going To Work OutWritten by Darrell Anderson. Many years ago I worked with a man who had a wry, unique philosophy about life. One day during a break we both sat in his office exchanging stories. He began talking about his son and he told me that his son was about my age. “I didn’t know you had a son my age! How long have you been married?” I asked. “Twenty seven years,” he replied. I responded with the customary head shake and honored him with a traditional low pitched whistle. “Wow, that’s a long time.” He stared into the distance for a moment and took a long drag of his cigarette. Then slowly he turned to me, smiled ever so slightly, and replied, “Yeah, and I think it’s going to work out.” Finis. Next: Toilet Paper and Shoes |
