Consider the following data plot. The horizontal axis represents time, the vertical axis complexity of life forms.

Notice the random data.
Now, how would an evolutionist interpret the data? Probably like so:

An evolutionist would interpret the data by seeing a continuing evolution of complexity with respect to time because the evolutionist’s world view requires that perspective.
How would a creationist interpret the data? Probably like so:

A creationist sees the Creator introducing new life forms at various moments in the time line, because the creationist’s world view requires that perspective.
Same data, different worldviews, different interpretations. Lots of arguing over nothing.
